Im aware theres already been a discussion on this, but Sam has asked if I would help promote the upcoming Ofcom and Broadband Performance trials by publishing the following.

Quote

SamKnows are looking for volunteers to participate in the trial with Ofcom to monitor Broadband Speed and Performance over the next 24 months...

You can sign up using this form: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/pm/signup.html

Plus more details can be found here http://www.samknows.com/broadband/news/ofcom-to-conduct-further-research-on-uk-broadband-speeds-10463.html and here http://www.samknows.com/broadband/pm/faq.html

Trialists have full access to their performance data via a reporting panel.

Would be great to have people join!

Just to clarify, if you're on the "old" monitoring system (like me) you may well still get an invite but there's no need to take any action. The old system is being rolled into the new one from a data aggregation/analysis view.

I got a bit confused by the invite (by email) so asked directly and was told this by SamKnows.

I applied for the previous scheme but wasn't accepted, and this time I received an email referring to my previous application and inviting me to sign up this time, which I've done.

Yes, mine was the same, referring back. I guess it didn't get filtered for those who actually ended up joining!  laugh
