It certainly appears from those graphs that there was one actual re-sync at about 20:42 and a number of missed Routerstats samples.

jid - any chance of telling those of us that aren't up to speed what router you changed to???  Tongue

Certainly! D Link DSL-2740B - broadcom chipset is a great help and allows tweaking Wink

...or even a 2640B as a (much) cheaper alternative, and bcm-based and tweakable Smiley

Okay, so just connected the netgear dg834n borrowed for the next few hours. Fingers crossed for some good results. Already syncing higher than previous for this time of day. Routerstats gathering stats... Watch this space...

It is the router!!!

It seems that the netgear is much more stable on my line giving a better sync speed and stable connection. no rebooting needed since last night and the sync speed has gone up to 5472kbps and snr12.5 with only small variations up and down (0.1dB either way)

and the through put is not too bad either:
speedtest.net giving:
4559 kbps / 378kpbs

that I guess resolves the issue and now time to buy myself a netgear router... next question is do I go for a dg834n - v2 (no DMteam support) or the DGN2000... (or do i wait for the dng3500 or even dgnd3300) - your views greatly appreciated

is that the latest offical firmware or the DMteam firmware? does the offical firmware allow tweaking?
