A little confusing part of their statement says: "Easily convert your MOV files to AVI, WMV and MPEG. Free to try! "
But also make sure you check-out any comments.

That would appear to be a DVD creation tool, not a ripper.

Today's offering is Aplus DVD ripper... which on early testing seems to work well... so well worth grabbing if you're looking for something like this.

APlus didn't work here - wouldn't register correctly which going by the comments seems to have something to do with Firefox being installed. Probably a lucky escape if someone bought that heavily into .net

It wasn't the link back to GAOTD (when you install) which didn't work, it was that the username/serial number simply wouldn't "stick". I had to enter it every time the program started to get it to work and that is apparently "caused" by Firefox being installed. Sounds like nonsense to me but you can't complain about free s/w not working now can you?

Well if the problem does involve firefox (though I can't imagine how or why), then:
1) it's a pretty crappy design 2) you are going to pee off quite a sizeable chunk of the online population

... but you can't complain about free s/w not working now can you? Yes of course you can, or at least by leaving them a comment as to what was wrong. I believe the motive behind giving away these software packages is to be able to receive customer feedback and experiences. ... btw, I'm now trying Super ©. But did you try AutoGK yet ? Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post.

I did give AutoGK a look... found it a bit confusing. Super © seems better. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html(the download link is buried at the bottom of the page)

Well a quick search yields enough results that were it my s/w then I'd know about it, and would have done for a while now
