The Performance Tester is now testing Broadband connection. Your configured download throughput speed for this service is 1250 k

Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 32 kbps

Interleaving was applied straight away.
Done all the usual stuff so far - but if Im not around this evening... you know why. - I'm struggling to even attain sync at some points

edit

my IP profile is now down to 500k, but it wont perform the speedtest due to surfing being so slow and the speedtester bit times out.

I can just see the headline in next week's Blackpool Bugle; "BB blitz hits Kitz."

Hope normal service will be resumed soon.

I thought a bit of the old Dunkirk spirit was required, under the circs. ;)

You see Kitz, this is what you get for sympathy from your much enlightened and entrusted "MODs"
Whereas on behalf of us (well me at least) mere member/s we offer you our utmost condolences and wish you speedy recovery to your normal stats readings.  :comp:

Back to normalish stats - now.

But Im still being rate limited by the IPprofile system from earlier - so am now in the situation where my upstream speed is twice as fast as my downstream.  (suspect Im now at 350 profile)  :(

I'm not sure if the power-cut has b0rked something in my router..  or if the poor stats were down to the neighbours alarm which was ringing for hours.
Put it this way, now that  I have a normal (interleaved sync),  Im not going to risk swapping routers back again to test just yet... and will leave things as they are until the IPprofile adjusts.

When you get an event like this, it does seem to take a couple of days to settle down, so I agree that the best plan is to leave it as it is for a while.

I'm pleased to hear that things have improved, and hopefully the IP profile will adjust quickly. :)

True - Im not touching anything

IP profile hasn't moved.  I thought that perhaps with it being such a big jump it should have at least made some movement by now.
- Another instance of the DLM not playing "by the rules".

I'm just hoping it hasnt stuck, since my line seems to be one of those that does.
It happened when I was maxed, when I got moved to a different dslam and also got stuck last year when I was having some electrical work done.

I submitted a ticket to PN last night to get interleaving turned off.  That happened pretty quick - shortly after midnight according to my router logs.. so cant complain at that.
Will just have to wait a bit longer and see what happens with the IPprofile I guess :/

You could jump ship in just under 6 weeks and lose all this IP profile nonsense ;)

Indeed - its damned annoying that through no fault of my own and through one power-cut Im now limited to download speeds approx half of my upstream. :/

I dont like how my profile isnt even showing the slightest sign of changing - which it "should have done" in theory by now.
Based on past performance on this line Im getting a bit uneasy that its stuck again like it did last year after I had workmen in and it stuck at 5000 for quite a while (weeks) before my ISP managed to do the ticket tennis stuff with BTw and convince them it was stuck.

As someone whose used to having 8Mb I'm finding this painful - particularly last night when the brat decided it was a good thing to use this connection to receive some pretty big files from a friend she hadnt spoken to in ages.  - I wasnt amused.  >:(

I realise you're joking!? But you might be giving others the impression that Zen would manage BT's IP Profiling system in a better way  >:D
