Migrated from 02Home
« on: September 28, 2013, 01:29:24 PM »

Well I was due to be migrated this Wednesday 25 Sep onto o2Wholesale via a reseller, Aquiss Internet Ltd., but the week before Wed 18, in the early hours at 01.10am, o2Home BB deleted my account cos someone can't read the dates and refused to reconnect, so I lost the 'Internet' connection as shown on the router.  The DSL is was still on though.  This should have been the simplest of moves just a VLAN software change from o2/BeHome(Retail)B/Band to o2W/sale B/Band, so o2HBB have cocked up.  So had a week offline, realised how little I actually used it compared to my son.

Anyway O2W switched on the line this Wed 25th as scheduled.  One puzzling thing is the sync has dropped from av. of 57**-58** (on ADSL1! o2 LLU) to 46**-48** on ADSL2+ o2W LLU.  Aquiss has been good no complaint with them they tried to get o2W to connect earlier, and they have set my target SNR to 3 as a trial, which gives me 54**-58**.  Seems stable enough one resync in 24 hrs. ADSL1 was tried but this just went down 33**.  I am quite happy just were puzzled.

Stats for what its worth.

By the way new stats on NG DGN2200, if I connect my own 585 (or o2 box) line atten is 58, NG reported 51 when on o2HBB. Only thing noticeable is the 585 show Power down as 18! Guess this might be a reason. Will stop messing for now.

You might find it to your advantage if you could force the link to use ADSL2 mode (and not ADSL2+).

Forgot to put in op, did try ADSL2 after ADSL1 but that synced at 4001 dead.  Will leave current NG on until a resync then will put my 585v6 in and see if Down Power inreases over time, pity NG does not report this.
